How do I know if the stones are real?
All the stones are real stones. See the chapter Research Stones
For the sake of the color I have sometimes used dyed stones or other treated stones like the stabilized Turquoise.

How do I know if the Pearls are real?
The Pearls I have used are all real Freshwater Pearls. For more specific information see the chapter Research Pearls

What are "Mother of Pearl" Pearls?
Mother of Pearl pearls are perfectly round beads made of pound shell. They look very attractive and they are much larger than real pearls.

Why are not all Pearl necklaces knotted?
Necklaces with multiple pearl strands which are twisted are hardly ever knotted and neither are necklaces with smaller and/or cheaper pearls. Pearl necklaces with pearls of 8mm and more are always knotted.
